100 Miles There We Were!

A1A riders took up on the challenge and rode 100 Miles this Sunday May 02, 2010 from Atlantique Cafe in Delray Beach to Hobe Sound.
We did it for fun, and made it fun all the way to Hobe Sound. Our first 50 Miles felt like 5 Miles, riding with a generous head wind. Still, we made a quick stop to refill by Publix on Palm Beach Island. On the way to Jupiter Island, we crossed the not so generous Blue Heron Bridge and started feeling it. In Juno Beach we made our second stop by a gas Station and then our third one by Hobe Sound Beach Park ( by then we were already riding for 62+ Miles). With 6 stops, long breaks, and a super fun group, we finished it in Style, riding over 102 Miles and over 50Miles against strong winds.

Way to go A1A Riders! Let's do it again! :)

How Exciting!

Dear A1A Riders!

Thank you so very much for being a part of our Camp and team. Thanks for showing up to our rides,

Social events, for volunteering and for supporting our fundraising events.

I truly appreciate all your fundraising efforts and admire your accomplishments.

We have some rock start fundraisers! I thank you so much to each of you and everyone who supported you,

to your friends, Family, co-workers and everyone else who helped directly or indirectly.

Together, as a Camp, we have raised over $ 14,000.00, and more is still coming in.

As a zMotion team, we have raised over $ 200,000.00, and will continue our efforts

and reach our goal of $ 300,000.00, in donations for the MS Society.

During all these months we have being training together and riding as a Camp.

This weekend, We ALL will be wearing our zMotion team Jerseys riding as the AWESOME team we are,

respecting the road and all the other teams and riders, honoring our efforts on supporting the same cause.

Taking safety as our priority, respecting all riders, proudly displaying through each and every member the amazing leadership of our team. “When we join forces, we move the immovable. When we team up, we change things for kids, for seniors, and for those in our communities who can’t change things for themselves.”( Page 8. 2009-2010 – zMotion Membership Guide)

You’ve done your Best! You are the best!

Thank you!

Let’s keep the donations rising,

Jupiter Island 42 Miles Bike Ride

We all gathered at a huge and FREE (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC) parking lot in Juno Beach off of A1A and Marcinski Road.
I believe there were approximately 20 local riders. To attend a rider's request, I wrote down the parking lot's address, it is located at Ocean Cay Park, Palm Beach County Park and Recreation, 2188 Marcinski Road.

I left Delray Beach at 6.15 AM and arrived in Juno Beach at 7.15 AM. We left the parking lot at 7.30AM.
It was a very nice group of riders who tried to keep themselves on single file most of the time on a constant pace of 20-23 MPH.

The weather, the group and the views were great. A ride to repeat!
